Technician was very helpful. The service was dependable, easy to schedule and quick. Overall, I am very pleased that my problem was resolved so quickly. My only complaint is that an extra labor charge was added to the service call fee. I believe if no parts are replaced the labor should be included in the service fee. Aside from that, I would use service again.

Hi there and I do appreciate how easy it was to schedule the appointment. Also, the personnel who came out this morning was professional, informative, and helpful. However, although he did did some basic maintenance and added a surge protector, the garage is still making a the loud squeaking sound while opening. Me and the Precision personnel did actually check for this while he was here and it seemed as though the sound had stopped. But as my wife just returned home and opened the garage, it went right back to doing it again and then remained the same as I made more attempts at opening the garage. I would like for Precision to identify and resolve the issue. My total charge for the visit was right under $300.00. Not cheap at all, but I understand and was willing to pay for sure. But would like this item that I've mentioned to be fixed please. Please let me know if this can be scheduled soon? Thanks in advance. Amad Ali U.S. Army (ret)

The technician was very nice and speedy with his work. He had on his truck what I needed to repair my door. The cost was alot higher than I expected.

We chose Precision based on their 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, we cannot give that. Cam was a pleasant technician. Communicated well what the issue was. Gave us 2 options on how to resolve the issue. We chose just to replace the chain rail (which was all that was needed). Our issue was after he left. Thankfully I was leaving after Cam, but my garage door would not close when engaging my remote. I called Cam and he quickly returned and assisted reprogramming my opener to my car (though this should not have been required when replacing the chain rail). Then in the evening when we were letting our dog out, she broke thru the line sensor and instead of the door going up as a safety feature, the door went in reverse and started to close on our dog. This could have caused injury to our dog. So we will need for Precision to come out again and reverse the safety feature so our dog or a person is not injured. Just make sure ALL normal working behaviors of a garage door is checked before the technician leaves.

Quick response- wonderful service- but way over priced. $520 for a single garage door spring - the national average is $250

Service call was early but tech notified me about it. Price for service was high and when bill was paid by credit card, I was not notified of the 4% service charge for paying by credit card by the tech

Jason the technician was very polite and hard working. He installed new rollers and The rollers were gigantic, 7 inches and plastic which really lowered the noise level. The original ones were much shorter so took a bit of time getting use to the look of the bulkiness of stems sticking out a bit further. But I am please that the garage door shuts less noise.

I was told over the phone that the price of the springs include the labor to install. When the person arrived to install them he said that was not true and charged me an extra $65 of labor in addition to the service call fee

Great service, technician was professional. I am just blown away by the cost. Two springs, two bearings, and 40 minutes for the repair, 898$. That is insane, I am in the Military and don’t make a ton of money, so that hurt a lot. But I had to get it repaired. I feel like it’s a bit of a gouge. I would recommend your service to people but warn them of the very high prices. Respectfully. pc

As we open the garage the spring broke I called the company that I normally use they said they were about a week and a half behind as I was talking to them I seen this commercial on TV about precision so I called the girl was nice and friendly answered my questions and said she could have a tech out the next day said it would be $65 service call if the tech fixed it they waived the $65 I said OK then I Ask her can I pay with credit card she said yes so the next day The service tech came out looked at the door gave me a price and I said OK the girls that I can pay with credit card he said yes but they charge a fee I said the girl didn’t say that yesterday so he did the work his name was Tommy very friendly seem like he knew what he was doing he got through tell me how much it was and we wrote a check he said you get an invoice on email with the price and I think him and he left when I seen the email later on I seen the $65 was there but it was too late he was already gone just as not happy because that not what I was told

I have used Precision on several other occasions for the repair of our garage door opener. The technician usually calls and lets me know they are coming and upon arrival they take a close look at the unit and can usually take care of the problem. Today not so much, The technician did not call before he arrived and was just pure luck that I was home. I was showing him the problem and the first thing he asked was "How old is this thing?" I said 10 years or so and when he realized it was much older he went on into sales mode instead of repair mood. He went ahead and did the inspection on the door and when I came back out he had my sale options ready to discuss. I asked about repairing it, but he said it was beyond repair. If he hadn't told me that he was kinda new to this I would have just believed him and said ok lets replace it, but if he was not sure if it could be fixed then I put the brakes on the purchase and may contact another company for the repair. I'm not made I just want to make sure before I spend $700 to replace it instead of a $100 repair.

The serviceman and his repair work were fine. The cost, however, seemed outrageous. I was ok with the 65.00 service call and 65.00 1 hr labor charge but not pleased with additional 88.00 maintenance fee and unhappy with paying 250.00 for a 70.00 spring. Total bill was 468 which I feel is about 200.00 overpriced.
- Tony Prichard
Mr. Prichard Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take pride in our ability to offer service early on Sundays. We also try to offer a great experience to customers with certified technicians, in addition to being drug screened and background checked. Our parts and warranties are also among the best in the industry. We truly appreciate and value your feedback and would be happy to further discuss in person or over the phone. It seems we missed our mark here and would love to take this as a learning experience.

Gave 3 stars for getting to us that day. New garage door springs shouldn’t have cost over $650.00!

average job. Left a small mess on my garage floor and didn't put my own ladder back when they were finished using it. The door functions correctly and they did show up on time for installation.

While I appreciated the initial "chat" person as well the person who called me to verify the appointment, the service guy lost you our business. He insulted my intelligence by speaking as i if I knew nothing about the process, was a "salesman" more than a repair guy, and spent quite a bit of time rambling on about many things not associated with garage door repairs. Very unimpressive
- GregA
Thank you for taking the time to provide this information. We rely heavily on our customers for feedback and while this news is disturbing, it is very much appreciated. We truly apologize for your experience and will handle this appropriately.

Your tech showed up on time and did a good job on the repair. I do think $315 is a little pricey for 15 minutes of work with no parts involved. Doctors cost less!!!
- Robert Tharp
Mr. Tharp, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with our company. We collect data from all over the country to base our pricing off, and we are slightly on the higher side. Again, I appreciate your response and we will certainly take this into consideration for future pricing updates.

On 08 Sep 2020, a Triple Touch Bottom Seal was installed, and the serviceman did not consult with the owner about it not fitting the garage door precisely. The second visit by the same serviceman had no results, said that was the only Bottom Seal that Precision had, that my door thickness was too thin and that was all he could do. HELP! Unhappy customer...

Mr. Gipe, Thank you for taking my call and allowing me to explain our pricing philosophy to build labor pricing into our parts, and the fact that you received much higher cycle material than industry standard. i'm also glad you were pleased with Kyle and his service.

Quick fast and efficient. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Unfortunately I think I overpaid when I did some research.
- Brian Hicks
Mr. Hicks, Thanks for taking the time to send us this review, and thanks for complimenting our quick, fast, efficient service. Those are three of our core goals here at Precision Door of Louisville. Another main goal is to offer our customers the best possible products and warranties available. We do offer standard cycle springs at a lower cost, but they come with significantly lower warranties, and will result in earlier breakage and costly return repair trips. We will come back and out the standard cycle springs up if you choose to call back and ask, but they will revert to a 2 year warranty. I hope this helps you understand our pricing better.

Chance is very nice and eventually performed a check of my opener. However, I didn’t appreciate his immediate sales pitch to replace my opener before testing or inspection.

Precision was wonderful to work with. Our cars were trapped in our garage & they graciously worked us into their very busy schedule the same day. John was absolutely fantastic! He worked quickly and efficiently reusing everything he could and only replacing what was necessary. He kept our repair cost to a minimum. Our garage door now functions better and quieter than ever. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service!

Unfortunately, despite my providing her with a very comprehensive explanation of what I needed, and specifically asking whether this work could be done, turns out the appointment setter was unaware that Precision doesn't repair Wayne Dalton garage door torsion springs. This is why I can't give more than 3 stars. However, after Collin arrived, we discussed options and elected to replace the entire torsion spring assembly. The work was well done, he was prompt in arriving, the time taken to complete the task was minimal, and he was very courteous.
- Rick Fontaine
I apologize for the misunderstanding with our office in booking your repair appointment. Although we do work on all makes and manufacturers of doors and openers, sometimes we do have to convert the builder grade systems to a standard torsion. In your case it was a Wayne Dalton torque master system with an internal spring mechanism which are notorious for a short life cycle. To my knowledge most door companies wont replace these but rather do the torsion conversion because of the longevity issues. Thank you so much for your business, and again I apologize for the misunderstanding but I'm glad in the end we were able to get your door fixed right with a high cycle torsion system that will last for years to come. -Steve Van Dam

Service has very good, but Brent wes just a little late.
- Gary Pontrich
Louisville, KY
The service performed by Brent was excellent. He was efficient, knowledgeable, thorough and very helpful. The only issue I had was the information on pricing over the phone with your representative was mis-leading. I asked for a price for the replacement of 2 springs and when Brent got here he said that was the price for 1 spring. I had cancelled another company because of your pricing.
- David Corney
I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding on the price of the springs, we try to be as upfront as possible. There must have been a communication error, we will work on it to prevent this from happening in the future. Thanks, Steve
The technician was a super nice guy, but the prices are too high.
